Dirk Langendijk was a prolific draughtsman specializing in military scenes with numerous small figures. His style was appropriately pithy. Yet although several military encounters took place in the Netherlands during the Revolutionary period of 1789–1799, he based most of his depictions on his own imagination. It was at the Battle of the Pyramids in 1798 that Napoleon’s French army defeated the Egyptian Mamluks.

• Aluminijski dvobojni otisak: Aluminium Dibond prints are metal prints with an impressive depth - for a modern look and a non-reflective surface structure. The white and bright sections of the artpiece shine with a silky gloss but without glare.
