This view of the canal of Santa Chiara, Venice, painted from the platform of the church of Santa Chiara and faces south-east, shows the curve that describes the channel to the wharf of Santa Croce. It is seen, on the left, the high wall of the convent Corpus Christi, college Venetian noble; in front, the Santa Croce church whose façade opens onto a small square closed by a convent wall. Behind it, you can see the dome and bell tower of the church of San Nicolo da Tolentino. On the right bank of the dock, a series of opulent houses with the ground floor a few shops or stalls.
