This painting represents the dining room of the house of Juliette Drouet in Guernsey, Hauteville II towards the chimney wall but, strangely, this view appears reversed left-right when compared to the photograph of the same place (MVHPPH3673), the painter having cependnat restores initials.

This small view of the dining room of Hauteville II, heading north-east wall and chimney painted by Edmond Palézieux in 1883, the year of the death of Juliette Drouet, is eerily reversed like a mirror, without anyone knowing the reason.
