This painting represents the Seine at the Pont Neuf in Paris. Barges are moored to the docks; on the bank, there are walkers with dogs. On the left, behind the bridge, are the buildings of the Louvre dock.

Child of the Normandy countryside, between Lebourg in 1865 as a student architect in Rouen firm while devoting himself to the en plein air, along the banks of the Seine.
